Judy Birch
Pelvic Pain Support Network –
Judy Birch has a background is in teaching and she has been a patient advocate in the field of chronic pelvic pain since 2000. She co-founded the Pelvic Pain Support Network in 2006, which involves supporting patients, developing evidence-based information, policy and service development, education (for undergraduates, health professionals and patients ) and providing input into many publicly funded research trials, including GaPP2, IMI-PainCare, APDP Advantage, and the development of Patient Reported Outcome Measures (through VaPain). She has represented patients on the NICE/NHS Evidence Advisory Committee and the NHS England Specialist Services Committee for Chronic Pain. She is also currently a patient representative member of the European Association of Urology Chronic Pelvic Pain Guideline Committee and a member of the European Society of Radiology Patient Advisory Group.
