Hiltrud Liedgens

Gruenenthal Gmbh, Aachen – 

Hiltrud Liedgens received her Diploma in Biology and her PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Cologne (Germany) in 1989. She finished a  Masters Degree in Health Economics in 2010 at the Apollon Hochschule in Bremen. Her PhD Research was done in the Max-Planck-Institute in Cologne in the department of Prof. Klaus Hahlbrock, where she also spent her PostDoc time until 1993, and then worked as Plant Molecular Pathologist. Her research practice focused on the identification of resistance genes against bacterial and fungal diseases in Arabidopsis thaliana and barley respectively. She moved to the Pharmaceutical Industry in 1999. Since 2001 Hiltrud has been working with Gruenenthal GmbH in Aachen. Hiltrud is Global Head of HEOR and she is responsible for  health economic and outcomes research projects in different areas of pain and supporting countries in preparing their HTA dossiers for submission to the different agencies like NICE in UK, G-BA in Germany and others. Collaboration with the clinical development team and advise about using patient reported outcomes (PROs) in the studies which are validated and acceptable by the different agencies are of utmost importance to Hiltrud.
